Intent

The purpose of our Geography education programme of study is to inspire curiosity and fascination about the world and its people. Our aim is that this interest will remain with our children for the rest of their lives. We provide a robust curriculum which teaches about diverse places, people and environments. Our Geography topics help children to develop knowledge about significant places. We provide our students with opportunities to collect, analyse and communicate with a range of data via fieldwork. Children will have access to a range of sources of geographical information including maps, diagrams, digital maps, globes and photographs. We ensure that our students develop their knowledge of the world, the UK and their locality. We understand the importance of using the correct geographical vocabulary to discuss human and physical aspects of the subject.
